Awana Children's Ministry
Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community.
Ovilla United Methodist Church is a proud Awana Clubs partner. Awana's will be on Wednesday evening in the youth building, after our all-church meal. If you would like to volunteer with Awana at Ovilla United Methodist Church please contact Lori Green at 972-742-5013 or green224@me.com
What is Awana? (Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed)
Awana equips local churches to form weekly clubs with comprehensive, structured programs for preschool through 6th grade. Awana is designed for the spiritual growth and evangelism of children and their families. Awana strives to educate children and youth of all ages to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ.
What Age is Awana?
Puggles Preschool (2 & 3 years old)
Cubbies Preschool (4 & 5 years old)
Sparks K5, 1st & 2nd grade
Truth & Training - Ultimate Adventure 3rd & 4th grade
Truth & Training - Ultimate Challenge 5th & 6th grade
(6th graders in the Youth Group are Welcome)
When Does Awana Meet?
All Clubs meet on Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
(except Spring Break March 14th).
Our first meeting is February 29, 2012.
Our last meeting before the summer will be May 30, 2012.
