Rev. Joel Robbins. Senior Pastor
Rev. Joel Robbins was appointed the pastor of Ovilla United Methodist Church in June of 2010. Rev. Joel Robbins is married to Rev. Christie A. Robbins, also a United Methodist Pastor, and has son Joel Brandon, daughter Marion Ruth and son Thomas Q.C. Pastor Robbins feels his biggest accomplishment is his family. In his spare time, Joel enjoys deer hunting, dove hunting, bass fishing, fly fishing, skeet shooting, and camping. Rev. Joel Robbins education history includes; United States Marine Corps, Lon Morris College-Associate of -Arts, Texas Wesleyan University-Bachelor of Science, Asbury Theological Seminary,Texas Christian University-Master of Divinity. Pastor Robbins chaired the Central Texas Conference Evangelism Task-force and continues to teach classes on evangelism all over the conference. Joel is proud to be the pastor of the most prolific and dynamic church in all of God's Kingdom. |
Patrick Turkett, Youth Director
Patrick joined the staff here at Ovilla UMC in September of 2011. Patrick has been working with youth, young adults, and leading worship around the Central Texas Conference for the past 9 years. Patrick loves to play guitar and sing, browse social media, eat street tacos, play disc golf, and metroplex sports teams. Before coming to us here at Ovilla UMC, Patrick previously worked at Meadowbrook United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Acton United Methodist Church in Acton, and at our conference camp - Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center. Patrick majored in Religion with a Christian Education emphasis at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas and is a proud alumni.

Marcia Haugarth, Music Director
Marcia Haugarth joined the staff of Ovilla United Methodist Church in June of 2003. She received her Bachelor or Arts Degree in All Level Vocal and Instrumental Music from Pan American College and taught vocal music in San Antonio and Red Oak ISD for a total of 39 years. Marcia is single, but enjoys spoiling her niece, 3 nephews and 2 great nieces. She loves reading, gardening, cooking, sewing, working with students on competitive choir music, delivering meals on wheels and visiting the homebound. She considers her present job to be the most rewarding of any she has ever had because it is working with the best of God's music. |
Dennis Hudson, Pianist/Organist
Dennis Hudson joined the staff at Ovilla United Methodist Church in the spring of 1995. He graduated from El Centro College with a degree in Music and English. Dennis has worked in pharmaceuticals and church music for over 30 years. He lives in Duncanville, Texas and enjoys all kinds of sports. The favorites are football, basketball and baseball. He also enjoys reading murder mysteries and hanging out with friends and family. He enjoys going to different sporting events involving the young people of Ovilla United Methodist Church. |
Michelle Campbell, Business Administrator
Michelle Campbell joined the staff at Ovilla United Methodist Church in September of 2005. She graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in December of 1992 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. Michelle has a background in banking and treasury management. She lives in Ovilla with her husband, Craig, and her son, Collin. In her spare time, Michelle likes to watch her son's sporting events, read, walk, and cook. Michelle has always had a heart for ministry and loves working for Ovilla United Methodist Church. |
