Wednesday Night Fellowship and Study

On Wednesday nights at Ovilla United Methodist Church we have several opportunities available for you. 

We gather at 5:30pm for an all-church meal cooked by a person, family, or group in the church.  Come and sit with church members and guest and enjoy a meal cooked especially for you.  This is a great time for church fellowship and to get to know other members and guest over a meal.

At 6:00pm, Bible studies begin.  For the children, under 6th grade, we have Children's service.  At children's service the children will play games, do crafts, and learn the Bible.  Junior High bible study begins at the same time.  The Jr. High Bible study focuses on themes and stories from the Bible and life application.  The Junior High Bible study is for those in 6th grade to 8th grade.  Adult Bible study begins at 6:00pm as well.  The adult Bible study is taught by Rev. Joel Robbins and lay people. 

At 7:00pm, Bible study for Senior High begins.  Senior High Bible study focuses on themes and stories from the Bible and life application.  The Senior High Bible study is for those in 9th to 12th grade.  At 7:00pm, our Chancel choir begins rehearsal. 

We need help with our Children's service on Wednesday nights.  Do you have a heart for children?  We need your help.  Contact the church office to find out how you can help. 

Can you cook? Use a Microwave? Stupefy others with your ability to order carry out over the phone? Then you, my friend, have all the qualities needed to volunteer for Wednesday night dinner!  It's easy and you will get reimbursed for at least part of your expenses. Don't want to do it alone? That's cool too! Get a group and split it up. Either way, you'll see lots of appreciative faces on Wednesday nights. As far as cuisine, there are no rules, so let your imagination fly!  Sign up on the buffet in the Fellowship Hall.
